History Of Seville

Al-Mutamid was the king of Seville form 1069-1091 and a noted poet, he was the first to write of Seville's magical presence and captivating scenery.

The development of Seville

Throughout Seville history from the point of Al-Mutamid's rule to Modern day, it is written in history that this magnificent city is the gem of Spain. Originally a Muslim city, Seville, from the 8th century to the 15th century, Was involved in part of the Reconquista, or reconquest by the Christians.

With the end of Reconquista having arrived in 1492, a golden age of development began, creating many jobs throughout Spain and further helping the progress of the Seville working classes. This period lasted for a many decades but eventually capped out and Seville was caught in an economic decline. From the 19th century through today, Seville has been in a constant rise, mostly through population and industrialization increases.
