What to do in Seville

The best way to describe Seville is that is divided into many different neighborhoods, each posses their own identity and almost all having at least one must-see monument, cathedral or other special site. Here are a few of them.

Barrio Santa Cruz

The neighborhood of Santa Cruz, considered the old Jewish Quarter, is located in the historic center of Seville. While walking down the Avenida de la Constitucion which be witness to many great sites, including the cathderal, which finished construction in 1506, the Giralda, Seville's most prominent monument and the old Diputacion (Town hall), a 17th century palace that stands over the square of Triunfo.

San Luis, Macarena and Feria

This particular area is made up of a few suburbs but are grouped together because of their similarities and other aspects they share. They are also the more popular, busy side of town. These three suburbs lend to an authentic Sevillan experience. It's streets, for example Calle de la Fiera, are lined with the stands for the Thursday open flea market. Near Alfafa is the San Pedro Square, overlooked by the church of San Pedro.
